Unicoi State Park is a great place for you to visit and enjoy the outdoors Be sure to visit it when you stay in one of our vacation rentals in Helen, GA. North Georgia mountains just two miles from Helen, Unicoi is one of Georgia’s most beloved state parks. Throughout the year, the park offers outstanding programs which focus on natural, cultural, historical and recreational resources. Groups can make advanced reservations for specialized programs. You can enjoy hiking and biking on scenic mountain trails, especially those leading to Helen and Anna Ruby Falls. Make sure to visit the lodge gift shop specializing in hand-made quilts and local pottery. Numerous picnic tables are located throughout the park.

Boating
Only privately-owned, non-motorized boats are permitted in the lake.
Bicycling
The trails at Unicoi State Park are enjoyable year-round. In the spring and summer you will find colorful blooms and buds, in the autumn the mountains are adorned with an array of reds, yellows, and oranges as leaves begin to change. And the winter months allow hikers and bikers to enjoy scenic views of the area not available any other time of the year. All trailheads, except the Unicoi Mountain Bike Trail, are located at the far end of the level 3 lodge parking area. Trail maps are available at the front desk.
Camping
There are over 80 individual campsites for tents, RVs and trailers, and one group campsite is available, which includes 15 personal shelters. Also, for individuals looking to hike in to a campsite, 33 sites are available.
Fishing
Fishing at Unicoi State Park is facilitated by several accessible docks.

A choice of seven open picnic shelters with views overlooking the waterfront and beach area are available.

Over 80 campsites are available for RVing.
Tennis
Four tennis courts are located at the park; however, these are temporarily closed for repairs.
Water Sports
Only non-motorized, privately owned boats are permitted in the 53-acre lake. A swimming beach with beautiful views is available to guests.
Zip-Lining
The Aerial Adventure is like no other with 19 zip lines and 7+ suspension bridges that range from 75 to 2,000 feet long and as high as 100 feet off the ground. The adventure is amazing for the beginner and experienced thrill seeker.
