Rest and Relaxation cabin is nestled on a heavily wooded one-acre lot with plenty of privacy. There are three wooden decks easily accessible from inside the cabin that are just steps away from venturing outside into the crisp mountain air to watch the sunrise break through the mist while sipping a hot cup of coffee or watching the sun go down with a glass of one of the many local wines.
Deck one is adjacent to a full-size rocking chair front porch with a front porch swing. This deck has an easy-to-use outdoor gas firepit surrounded by comfortable seating, a pergola with lights, and a private rustic view.
Deck two is also off the main floor with another beautiful view. Here you can fire up the gas grill which has easy access to the kitchen. You can also enjoy the 2 Adirondack chairs, outdoor dining, or board games on the patio table all while dwelling in the amazing cabin feel and soaking in the peaceful view.
Deck three is privately located downstairs off the sleeping area with two lounging areas and just a few steps away from melting into a steamy hot tub, where you will feel the pre-get-away stress and anxiety drift off into the outdoor air of the rustic mountain. Cradled in a canopy of trees and privacy of the deck, making this the perfect last stop before wrapping yourself into the plush robes provided and hopping into one of the comfortable beds as the sounds of the "Whispering Winds" of the Georgia mountains lull you to sleep.
And if all this isn't enough and you're up for some friendly competition, you'll also find a full-size pool table downstairs as well as playing cards and board games in the main floor closet to enjoy those days you stay indoors.
Helen and Sautee Nacoochee are approximately 8 miles away offering loads of activities, dining, shopping and several mountain specialty attractions. Be sure to stop by Betty's Country Store, ride the gravity style rollercoaster and visit the Old Sautee Store, built in 1873 where the store remains as it was when it closed down in the early 1900's. Visit the many wineries on the Georgia Wine Hwy. Within a 30min drive, enjoy the Gold Rush town of Dahlonega. Not to mention the hikes of Anna Ruby Falls and Unicoi State park which are just a 10 miles drive on the North side of Helen. There are many waterfalls in the area including one called Dry Falls, where you can walk behind the waterfall under the overhanging rocks, absolutely beautiful and not a long walk from parking to the waterfall. Maybe visit Smithgall Woods and Tallulah Gorge to walk across the swing bridge. Brasstown Bald is the highest point in Georgia. Beautiful!
