Our stay at Falling Waters was amazing. We were only a short 15 minute drive from Helen, GA and many beautiful hiking trails like Anna Ruby Falls and Mt Yonah. I loved how we could hear the creek behind the house, while laying down upstairs in the master bedroom - when the window was cracked open. It made for a very peaceful night of sleep. We found the house was perfect for our family of 8 (we have 6 kids). Our kids loved exploring the woods around the house and roasting marshmallows over the campfire by the creek at night. We would highly recommend others to stay here.
My boyfriend and I love visiting this cabin for weekend getaways in the mountains! We love the cozy, secluded cabin and all the fun things we can go do while we're there: visiting nearby beautiful vineyards, having dinner on the river in Helen, taking a day hike at Unicoi State Park, walking through the country stores in Sautee, and more. And other times, we just stay put and don't leave the cabin all weekend to relax in the hot tub on the front porch, have breakfast on the back porch, make a fire pit in the evening, and sleep in late to wake up and look out the bottom bedroom's back door into nature. It's a great cabin in a great location with great owners--I highly recommend staying here!Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers.
What a beautiful, romantic cabin. My husband and I loved our time here. Very private yet easily accessible with a gorgeous view. The only negative would be the strong odor of glade plug ins when you immediately open the front door. A very chemical smell. I had to unplug them and place them outside. There is nothing like the smell of a log cabin in the mountains and that's all that was missing at this adorable cabin!
Just wanted to thank Georgia Vacation Rentals for a wonderful vacation this past Oct. A special Thank You to Patty Stanton, who was phenomenal in helping us with reserving the Wine Down the River cabin. With 2 schedule changes, and logistic issues, Her patience and caring for our needs went beyond customer care. I will be a return customer, and will definitely recommend Georgia Vacation Rentals to anyone looking for that perfect Georgia get away.Thank You, Richard
My wife and I have stayed in about a dozen cabin rentals from Asheville to Gatlinburg and in between over the last 10 years. We spent many a night looking at cabins and wondering if the pictures were only taken when the place is at its best, staged, or whether they look as good now as then. Sweet Retreat did not fail us one bit. From the moment we pulled up the cabin was just as pictured, perfect. Heavily wooded, neighbors near but far enough not to be an issue. The place was perfectly clean, kudos to the cleaning staff! The weather was too hot to enjoy the fire pit or hot tub the first night but it cooled enough for us to use each one later in the stay. The things like the robes left for you to use, new gas grill, which was very well kept add those touches. I been in many a cabin where I was afraid to cook on the grill, but not here, clean, probably cleaner than mine at home! Another thing, the owners so thoughtful to have a power outage kit in the front bathroom, even with trail mix! In my mind that is a sign of an owner who really wants to take care of you. Upper deck and perfect place for that fair weather meal ,whether it is breakfast or dinner. Great local shopping with an Ingles, which we love, close by. At the risk of repeating myself, this has been the best cabin experience thus far and will be back in cooler weather so we can enjoy the outdoors more. To the owners, THANK YOU for allowing us to relax, recharge and reconnect in a wonderful environment.
Eric, Thank you so much. What a thoughtful review and such kind words. We really do try to do everything we can to make it wonderful for our guest. We will look forward to having you guys back in cooler weather. You'll enjoy the little wall fireplace then!
The Bittinger beach bungalow was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped with anything you might need to make a meal. Look down the street and you are right by the beach! The backyard is relaxing and quaint. The house is about an hour to New Orleans and 2 to Pensacola beach. Both are easy day trips. We will definitely remember this spot!
We were very impressed with the cabin and was perfect for our family! Very clean and beautifully decorated! Nice big kitchen that was perfect to cook out big Thanksgiving dinner! Loved the hottub and fire pit! The only thing I would recommend would be better lighting. It was very dim at night! Look forward to another visit!!
We had a VERY pleasant stay at the Bear Cub from the moment we walked in and saw how nice it was, plus it had a very nice scent as soon as you enter the cabin Very clean, very neat, very romantic and very private. We already want to go back and might book another stay here sooner than later. We had no issues or problems whatsoever. The view from the bedroom and the Jacuzzi tub couldn't be better. The deck wraps around most of the cabin and we were able to spend some time out there even in February due to the nicer temperatures (50's). Pool table is also in great condition and was fun to play downstairs. The cabin is setup perfect for a couple. Great place to stay and highly recommended!
This cabin was lovely! It's tucked into the woods about 7-8 miles from Helen Georgia for those wishing to enjoy that town without the noise of staying in a hotel in the strip. Very clean, and quaint. Upstairs is the kitchen, living area, and a queen bed. Downstairs is another bathroom, pool table, and king bed. I loved having balconies on both floors. Enjoying the hot tub under string lighting was definitely a nice touch, as we're complimentary robes left to wear. There is a cute patio that also has a fire pit some will enjoy. Although my stay was hampered by weather and loss of electricity to the area and the entire town of Helen itself, the owner was quick to assist, and make accommodation for an inconvenience that was not her fault and out of her control. Highly recommended
